Smart Plate Detector is a student identity detection system via vehicle number plate at Kolej Vokasional Tengku Ampuan Afzan developed to assist lecturers in identifying students who bring their own vehicles to college. Smart Plate Detector uses a database to store and manage student information, enabling easy tracking of entry and exit records. It is powered by Java programming language, which communicates with an Arduino Uno microcontroller, while a webcam is used to capture vehicle number plates for identification purposes. The system aims to help lecturers detect students who frequently arrive late or leave early, identify hostel students who violate rules by leaving without warden approval, and trace students driving illegally without valid licenses. This solution ensures a more efficient and systematic approach to student monitoring and discipline enforcement.
