AUTO FARMER is a fully automated, energy-efficient and AI guarded vegetable garden designed to achieve efficient and eco-friendly agricultural operations, with the objective to reduce the labor burden on farmers, and lower carbon emissions.. It aims to achieve SDG 2 - Zero Hunger & SDG 7 - Affordable & Reliable Energy. The system is coordinated and controlled through the MICRO-BIT, ARDUINO and RUNLINC.
Main Features:
A) Solar Powered: The system is powered by solar panels and collects rainwater for irrigation, achieving a green, self-circulating operation. Excess energy is stored in batteries for backup.
B) Automatic On-Demand Irrigation: Soil moisture sensors are used to automatically activate irrigation when the soil becomes dry, ensuring water is supplied as needed.
C) Water Conservation Control: A water pump supplies water from a storage tank, and an electric ball valve controls the water flow, improving water efficiency.
D) Comprehensive Automatic Irrigation: The irrigation device is driven by a synchronous belt and guide rails, ensuring even and automatic watering throughout the vegetable garden.
E) Bird Repellent ("Scarecrow") Device: Used to scare away small birds and protect crops.
F) Drainage System: Drainage panels are installed beneath the soil to effectively discharge excess water, preventing waterlogging and crop damage.
G) Plant Health Monitoring: Husky lens in installed to monitor plant health. The AI is trained by unhealthy plant photo. Any information sharing will be shared to telegram via WiFi.
