E-Dorm Access is a Web-Based College Residential Entry and Exit Record System to assist in monitoring the movement of hostel students at Kolej Vokasional Tengku Ampuan Afzan (KVTAA). Previously, the manual method relied on hostel record books, which had to be purchased regularly. This method not only incurred additional costs but was also inefficient due to the risk of record loss and difficulty in tracking student movements. To address this issue, the system was developed using PHP and CSS, with MySQL as the database for securely storing student records in an organized manner. The system includes key modules such as user registration, login, entry and exit records, and statistical reports for administrative use. System testing results indicate that this system improves the accuracy of student movement records and reduces the risk of data loss. Additionally, it helps reduce costs as there is no longer a need to purchase record books periodically. These findings confirm that a web-based system is more effective than the manual method. Overall, this system assists the administration in monitoring student movements more systematically and transparently. The development of this system also brings benefits in terms of security, data management efficiency, and cost reduction.
