The ECO-DRY project aims to protect clothes from rain while drying through a smart automatic system. It uses a rain sensor to detect water droplets, triggering the clothesline to retract under a roof and prevent clothes from getting wet. Additionally, the system collects rainwater into a storage unit for non-drinking uses such as watering plants or cleaning, promoting water conservation. The hypothesis is that weather detection technology in ECO-DRY reduces clothing damage from rain and increases water efficiency. This study applies experimental methods, prototype design, and functional testing to evaluate the system’s effectiveness.
