Nowadays, citizen desire a product which will enhance the lifestyle and the
product needs to be user friendly. So, we decided to devise a product as an
alternative for Clorox and soap powder. Hence, we came up with an eco
stain remover from Roselle leaves to remove stains from brass utensils. In
daily lifestyles, many Malaysians suffer from skin and hand irritation from
using too many chemical products when doing house chores. Furthermore,
the chemical detergents used are harmful for the health as well as the
environment as it can lead to environmental pollutions. In order to address
this issue, an environmental and health friendly stain remover has to be
used. Therefore, our product which is the eco stain remover made from
Roselle leaves is the solution to the issue. Initially, a research was carried
out to determine the best alternative stain remover. From our research we
found that Roselle leaves are commonly used in our households. We made
further research and discovered that besides health benefits, Roselle leaves
contains bio-chemical properties which can oxidise stains and therefore
making a good cleaning agent. As it oxidises stains, it removes the stains
from the utensils. Furthermore, we found out that this product has not been
invented, innovated or commercialised by anyone before. The product
benefits mankind as it is eco-friendly, healthy and requires minimum effort
to remove the stains from the utensils. It is cheap, easily accessible, portable
and has a good commercial value. Moreover, the eco-stain remover using
Roselle leaves can be a new comercialised product for rural villages. To
conclude, the eco-stain remover acts as a cleaning agent and can be used to
replace the chemical cleaning agents found in stores in order to utilize the benifits of roselle
