STEPS, an innovative teaching template developed to support SVM students in vocational colleges in mastering guided and extended essay writing for their final examinations. Due to limited English contact hours (only one hour per week), many students struggle to retain writing strategies and require constant guidance. The STEPS template provides a structured approach that simplifies essay writing, enhances retention, and offers targeted support for weaker learners. Ultimately, it equips students with the necessary skills to produce two essays in the final exam with greater confidence and accuracy.
