Binfinity is an innovative automatic waste sorting system designed to enhance recycling efficiency and promote sustainable waste management. The system can detect and separate three types of waste — plastic, metal, and wet waste — automatically, reducing the need for manual sorting and minimizing contamination among recyclable materials.

The device integrates several sensors, including an infrared (IR) sensor, raindrop sensor, proximity switch, and a buzzer, all controlled by a microcontroller. These components work together to identify the type of material, after which the stepper motor and servo motor activate to open the corresponding compartment for waste disposal. The system also provides user feedback through sound and motion indicators, ensuring smooth and interactive operation.

By combining automation and sensor-based technology, Binfinity supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by promoting smarter waste management practices, reducing environmental pollution, and encouraging a cleaner, greener future.
