Learning applications in economics have become essential tools in enhancing students’ understanding of economic concepts. With the advancement of technology, these applications offer a more interactive and engaging approach to learning compared to traditional methods. They provide various features such as tutorials, quizzes, educational videos and practical exercises that help students grasp both theoretical and practical aspects of economics. Moreover, learning apps allow students to access educational materials anytime and anywhere, fostering a more flexible and personalized learning experience.
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of learning applications in the field of economics. A survey was conducted involving 52 respondents, consisting of 6 lecturers from the Business Management Program and 46 students enrolled in Diploma in Business Management program. The survey employed a questionnaire to gather data on participants' perceptions of the usefulness, engagement, and educational value of learning applications in economics. The survey results were analysed to determine the impact of these applications on student learning and the teaching process.
The findings of this study indicate that the learning application is highly beneficial to users. Both students and lecturers reported that the application enhanced the learning experience, making it more engaging and accessible. The majority of respondents recommended the application to their peers and other vocational colleges, citing its versatility in being accessible across various devices and platforms. Additionally, the application allows for remote and in-person learning, offering the flexibility for self-paced learning at any time and in any environment. Furthermore, the application promotes an eco-friendly approach by being paperless, aligning with sustainability practices while providing efficient educational support.
