Virtual Booth

The "EcoTune Guitar" is an inspired project from the basic Year 4 Science Unit 6 recycled guitar project. The old model could not make harmonious music or let students accurately change the string pitch.The main goal was to build a smart, recycled instrument that produces quality, tuned sound. Using the STEM method, a special tuning mechanism which is bolt and nut were engineered onto a recycled box to adjust string tension and change the sound. The final EcoTune Guitar plays clear, harmonious music and helps students easily measure pitch. This eco-friendly tool helps all students learn about sound science through hands-on play.
